His strength lies in a mix of deep expertise with over 15 years of experience covering the whole spectrum of equity and debt transactions including IPOs, international securities offerings, tender offers and offerings of shelf registration bonds. Barli also has advised buyers and targets on the Indonesian law aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including reverse takeovers.

His practice also encompasses joint ventures and corporate governance. He routinely advises the boards and management of public and securities companies, as well as investors, in all aspects of compliance with securities laws and regulations in Indonesia. This includes related party transaction disclosure requirements, general meeting of shareholders, substantial shareholding disclosures, broker-dealer compliance, and exchange listing and compliance requirements.

He has established close working relationship with many prominent local underwriters and international investment banks, and thrives on handling transactions with challenging timeline and complex structure. Whatever regulatory issues that clients face, he understands that legal solutions should protect opportunities and create incentives. His deep understanding of how the Indonesian markets operate is key in advising clients navigate through the ongoing market conditions with a view to achieving the desired outcomes.
