Immanuel oversees the commercial dispute resolution practice within the firm. Immanuel represents a broad spectrum of Indonesian and international clients in various commercial disputes. Immanuel focuses on commercial cases, typically arising out of commercial agreements and transactions, and other economic related issues. Immanuel has substantial trial experience in cases involving debt recovery, insolvency, maritime & shipping, employment/industrial relations, insurance and other commercial and corporate issues.
Some notable matters he has been involved in include acting for one of the world’s largest aircraft lessor in bankruptcy proceedings of an Indonesian airline; representing a major Indonesian state-owned company before ICC arbitration in a dispute against a joint operation contractors concerning installation of onshore gas transmission pipeline using FIDIC standard form of contract; representing a leading P&I club based in London, in a dispute against several local non-governmental organizations concerning marine pollution in relation to wreck removal of a car carrier vessel; and representing a Malaysian oil and gas company in a dispute against local contractor with claims totaling over US$ 100 million.
