Immanuel is a seasoned litigation attorney with over 20 years of law practice.

Immanuel is the Managing Partner of IDS Attorneys. He is admitted to practice in Indonesia and a registered foreign lawyer at the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC).

His practice focuses on commercial disputes typically arising from business transactions and agreements. Immanuel is also specialized in handling shipping and maritime disputes in both “wet” and “dry” matters.

Immanuel has acted at all levels of Indonesian Courts, defending Indonesian and international clients in cases related to breach of contract, torts, insolvency and bankruptcy, insurance, industrial relations and other business-related contentious matters. He also acted for clients in domestic and international arbitration.

Immanuel began his legal career in 2004 as a pupil at a prominent litigation law firm in Jakarta. He was admitted to the Indonesian Bar in 2007 after completing his Master of Laws on scholarship grant from the Royal Dutch Government. Prior to founding his own practice, he worked with one of the largest law firms in Indonesia, where he played a key role in establishing and developing the firm’s dispute resolution practice.

Apart from being a lawyer, Immanuel places significant emphasis on legal academic activities and is occasionally invited to give lectures and speak at various forums.
